The primary responsibilities for the Kaizen Support Specialist position include, but not limited to:
Using the Toyota Production System (TPS) Leading kaizen activities to reduce cost by reducing all types of waste Training others, to develop their knowledge/skill in TPS & leadership skills Essential Responsibilities but not limited to:
Teaching Toyota Production System (TPS) principles and methods to all team members.
In the classroom:
The basics of TPS and TPS tools.
On the production floor:
Leading Production Floor Team Kaizen/Jishuken Activities and training all team members how to conduct activities putting TPS principles & methods into action (Hands on Training, Coaching, & Developing) Eliminating Waste / Reducing Cost / Increasing Profit Onboard Training of all new hire employees In the classroom:
Safety & Production Dojo, Quality Dojo, 5S, TPS Basics On the production floor:
Plant Tour & Live Introduction to items taught in the classroom.
New Hire Surveys Specialty Training:
Forklift & Crane Training Onsite New Project Management Trial data collection and report out.
Early planning /set up/correction/to all production areas.
Problem/Countermeasure mgmt.
Production preparation responsibility QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge & Tools will be taught, no prior experience required) Must have the UNDERSTANDING, & drive to LEAD kaizen activities by your own motivation, TEACH or guide others through TPS, and possess the ability to COACH and give advice to others to help develop their knowledge and skills.
Proficient in identifying inefficiencies in systems / production areas / equipment and possess the ability to correct the inefficiencies effectively and quickly.
Must be self-motivated, open minded, and have a positive attitude.
Must have the ability to perform well with others.
Must possess coordinating & organizational skills in order to manage multiple tasks & activities.
Ability to apply A3 problem-solving methodology.
Possess excellent computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel, Visio, Power Point, Auto Cad, Powerlink, and AS400 knowledge.
Possess good verbal and written communication skills.
Flexibility to travel for joint projects with other production facilities.
EDUCATION &/OR EXPERIENCE 3-5 years' experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment desired but not necessary Associate or Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, business, or engineering helpful but not necessary.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
