Serves as the front line of communication for the Office of Academic Success and Records; assists in the creation and maintenance of University records.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Includes all of the following.
Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Communication Receive and greet all walk-in contacts while observing FERPA restrictions on sharing student information.
Prepare and fulfill all transcript requests.
Complete student requests for information (verifications of enrollment, graduation certifications, etc.
).
Operate telephone systems to answer and route incoming and interoffice calls, take and deliver messages, schedule appointments, and manage call routing based on requests.
Excellent listening skills to determine facts; ability to handle distressed callers.
Administrative Process changes and declarations of majors and minors.
Organize and create new student registration appointments in cooperation with Success Coach.
Work with admission personnel to arrange advising appointments.
Process, file and organize incoming records according to FHU policy and procedures in both computer and paper filing systems.
Preparing new student files and setting them up in computer and paper systems according to University procedures to ensure complete information.
Files are included in all systems and available to faculty.
Create mail merge labeling for new student files.
Ability to create excel spreadsheets for data reporting.
Supervise the digitization of student records.
Use scanners to convert forms and reports into electronic format.

Education and Experience Bachelor's degree (B.
A.
) from a four-year college or university; or completed secretarial program or certification, or one to two years related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane, solid geometry, and trigonometry.
Ability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical problems and deal with concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret various instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills Word; Adobe; excel; smart sheets are preferred.

Store and extract file information from computers.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
